Back when I saw "The King's Men" concert in Cleveland last year -- a wonderful show featuring Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and Israel Houghton -- a guy told me that my two favorite Christian rappers (Da T.R.U.T.H. and Lecrae) were coming to Cleveland in March 2013.
Turns out the Da T.R.U.T.H. proposed concert got cancelled, but that hasn't stopped fans from telling him how much Cleveland, Ohio, would love to see him (especially with that amazing "The Whole Truth" and now "Love Hope and War" with JIFE: Jesus is For Everybody music under his belt) on his Facebook tour dates page.
The new Grammy winner Lecrae, however, is still scheduled to appear on Friday, March 8, 2013, at the Masonic Auditorium, according to iTickets.com, who lists a door-opening time of 6 p.m. for a 7 p.m. show, promoted by Providence Baptist Church. (Find more info here.)
I can't believe how quickly this concert sneaked up on me, but if it's meant to be, I will be there. Lecrae's music is on constant rotation in my iTunes playlists, as I sing and rhyme out loud to amazing songs like "Special," "No Regrets," "I Used to Do it Too" and so much more on the treadmill running my 5Ks.
After Lecrae took home a Grammy for Best Gospel Album for the amazing Gravity, I suspect his tour dates and venues will get even bigger. Check out more of his upcoming tour dates on Ticketmaster.com here.
