Just made available from The Grammys a clip of "Earth Song," a 3-D mini-movie that Michael Jackson created for his This Is It tour.
The clip will be shown during a heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson which will feature Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood, & Usher.
This is a never-before-seen 3D mini-movie and from Sunday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 31, Target stores nationwide are offering free “3-D GRAMMY Glasses” so that viewers can experience “Earth Song” the way Michael Jackson planned it.
Everyone from viewers at home to viewers in the audience will be wearing the glasses to watch the movie. Eager fans at home are encouraged to pick up their pair which are available in the Entertainment Department of Target stores. Read more at Target. About Earth Song: This 30-second clip is from the 3-D film that was created to support Michael Jackson's performance of "Earth Song." The song has a strong theme about the future of the planet, and Jackson saw it as a unique opportunity to deliver a message to millions of people who would have seen him on tour. The MJ tribute performance on the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will feature this 3-D film, which has never before been seen by the public in its entirety. CBS and Target have partnered to provide millions of free glasses so that fans can enjoy this unique viewing experience from home. From Sunday, Jan. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 31, Target stores nationwide will exclusively offer these 3-D GRAMMY Glasses so that fans have the opportunity to see the film that was very personal to Jackson.
The Grammys were originally called the Gramophone Awards. The Grammy Awards will air January 31, 2010 at 8 PM ET|PT on CBS.
