The 2013 "Grammy Awards" is the 55 year anniversary. The "Grammys" are given out for the best of the recording business.

This year's show has already set a record with the first nomination for a video game soundtrack. Check out the story of Austin Wintory.

Record of the Year

"Lonely Boy"-The Black Keys
"Stronger" (What Doesn't Kill You)-Kelly Clarkson
"We Are Young"-Fun, Featuring Janelle Monae
"Somebody That I Used To Know"-Gotye featuring Kimbra
"Thinkin' Bout You"-Frank Ocean
"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"-Taylor Swift

It's dangerous to vote against Taylor Swift and I really don't care that much for Kelly Clarkson. However, this song grabbed me from the first time I heard it, so I predict that I might be right. The wrench in the works could be "We Are Young" by Fun. I think their several nominations show that they are talented, but can they take the big prizes? Maybe.

Album of the Year

"Some Nights" Fun
"El Camino"-The Black Keyes
"Some Nights"-Fun
"Babel"-Mumford & Sons
"Channel Orange"-Frank Ocean
"Blunderbuss"-Jack White
As fun as "Fun" is, I really like "The Black Keyes" for this award.

Song of the Year

"The A Team"
"Call Me Maybe"
"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)"
"We Are Young"

My choice is "Call Me Maybe." I pick this song because I really love the video, very cute. Carly Rae Jepsen is amazing.

Best New Artist

"Alabama Shakes"
"Hunter Hayes"
"The Lumineers"
"Frank Ocean"

I choose "Fun," because they are indeed fun.

Best Pop Solo Performance

"Set Fire To The Rain"-Adele
"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)"-Kelly Clarkson
"Call Me Maybe"-Carly Rae Jepsen
"Wide Awake" Katy Perry
"Where Have You Been" Rihanna

Wow, look at all that talent. These are all different styles and all women! I'm going with Kelly for this also. The "Grammy" could go to any of these fabulous ladies.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

"Shake It out"-Florence & The Machine
"We Are Young"-Fun
"Somebody That I used To Know-Gotye Featuring Kimbra
"Sexy And I Know It" LMFAO
"Payphone"-Maroon 5 &Wiz Khalifa

I didn't think twice about this category. "Sexy And I Know It" by LMFAO just rocks out and I love it.

Best Pop Vocal Album

"Stronger"-Kelly Clarkson
"Ceremonials"-Florence & The Machine
"Some Nights"-Fun
"Overexposed"-Maroon 5
"The Truth About Love"-Pink

Another difficult category, but not impossible to make a stab at. I think the group "Fun" has a great career in the making. This award would go along way to assure that career.

Best Rock Performance

"Hold On"-Alabama Shakes
"Lonely Boy"-The Black Keys
"Charlie Brown"-Coldplay
"I Will Wait" Mumford & Sons

"We Take Care Of Our Own"-Bruce Springsteen

I pick the boss. Springsteen still has what it takes to rock out.

Best Rock Album

"El Camino"-The Black Keys
"Mylo Xyloto"-Coldplay
"The 2nd Law" Muse
"Wrecking Ball"
"Blunderbuss"-Jack White

Best R&B Performance

"Thank You"-Estelle
"Gonna Be Alright (F.T.B.)"-Robert Giasper Experiment Featuring Ledisi
"I Want You"-Luke James

I choose Usher who has tons of talent and deserves the award.

Best R&B Song

"Beautiful Surprise"
"Heart Attack"
"Pray For Me"

I don't listen to much R&B but I would pick "Heart Attack."

Best Urban Contemporary Album

"Fortune"-Chris Brown
"Kaleidoscope Dream"-Miguel
"Channel Orange"-Frank Ocean

Not that he's my favorite person, but I believe Chris Brown will win.

There are many other categories, but I choose to highlight the ones above.

The show will be broadcast live on Feb. 10, 2013 at 8/7c on CBS.
