Last week was music's award show, the Grammy Awards. The celebrities and artists came out full force in style for the event. There were a few trends on the red carpet that could be adapted by Naperville women for formal events.

Metallic: Many of the stars wore metallic dresses in silver tones. Very few wore gold metallics.

Sheer and White: Another trend was wearing white dresses with portions of sheer fabric. This offers a sexy yet covered up look.

Red: A hot color at the Grammy's was the color red. Artists wore this hue in every shade from bright to subdued, bright red to dark burgundy.

Blue: Another hot color this year was blue. There were many examples of blue gowns in bold blues.

Black and white: A hot color combination was black and white. Some wore zebra stripes, but there were other's who wore more traditional patterns.
