Macklemore and Ryan Lewis picked up the first award of the night at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The live event is held at the Staple Center on Sunday, Jan. 26, according to Just Jared.

The hip-hop duo won the award for Best New Artist. The duo were in shock as they got on the stage. They weren’t sure what to say or who to thank.

The duo beat out Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, James Blake and Kacey Musgraves in the same category. They’re expected to become the big winners of the night.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis already won an award during the pre-show. They won two awards for Best Rap Album for “The Heist” and Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Thrift Stop.”

Fans are wondering if the duo will sweep all the awards at the 2014 Grammy Awards. It’s been a big year for the duo. They've had hit songs like “Same Love” and “Thrift Shop.” Their songs are still getting play on the radio.
