The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held Sunday, February 10th in Los Angeles, CA. Even though the ceremony is a thing of the past, the amazing styles seen on the red carpet and on stage will be forever etched in our minds. Sparkle, clean lines and form fitting frocks cascaded through the Staples Center making the fashions just as exciting as the performances themselves.
J.Mendel, Roberto Cavalli and Alaia were favorites among the stars showing up on the likes of Taylor Swift, Faith Hill and Rihanna. Never a stranger to fashion risks, Beyoncé shook her style up going for a modern black and white pantsuit by Osman. The singer’s style was simple and elegant. Not to be outdone, her younger sister, Solange, stunned the awards with a killer green couture gown by Ralph and Russo. Her gown’s high slit and natural coif screamed “diva” as she strutted across the red carpet.
Always the one to stun, Jennifer Lopez flashed a little leg in her gown by Anthony Vaccarello. This dress definitely ranks high alongside the singer’s 2000 Grammy dress, which was green with a v neck down to the navel. It was a statement dress and she made a great one , letting the world know that she is still a power player in the world of fashion.
This years’ awards showcased tremendous talent in music as well as fashion. We certainly can’t wait for the 2014 awards!
