However, this one stands out due to the quirky menu items not usually available in this area. Gram & Dun is a quaint but comfortable restaurant serving unique dishes with a southern flair.

From start to finish, there are a wide variety of items to please everyone's taste. For appetizers, give the Asian Pig Wings a try. Using pork shank osso buco, this tasty cut of pork is coated in a sake soy glaze and served with sambal (a spicy sauce) and cilantro. It's much meatier than chicken wings, so don't be disappointed when the plate comes out with only 4 "wings." This is the most popular appetizer, but there are plenty of other choices. Wild Boar & Bison meatballs, French Onion dumplings and Croque Madame Fondue, which is great for sharing, are a few more choices.

For the main course, it's difficult to decide with so many traditional and unique options. If you are looking for some famous Kansas City BBQ in your meal, the Short Rib Grilled Cheese or the Burnt End Mac & Cheese are two options. If you are looking for a taste of the south, the Blackened Shrimp & Grits or Chicken & Waffles are two outstanding dishes.

For a meal you won't find anywhere else, try the Jerk Pheasant. This dish can only be described as Midwest meets The Caribbean. Chef de Cuisine, Nathan Nichols explained the idea behind this dish. After returning from a visit to the Cayman Islands, he still had island fever, so he asked a member of the kitchen staff who is from Jamaica to create a traditional jerk seasoning. The end result is an amazing plate bursting with Caribbean flavor and served with southern fried rice.

If there is room left, the dessert menu may be small, but it won't disappoint. The Citrus Dreamsicle is a new addition but has quickly become the favorite. Lemon poppyseed cake topped with blood orange sorbet and vanilla bean ice cream with a drizzle of curd is sweet but light. Crack Pie, as the name implies is delicious and addicting. It's an oat cookie with salted custard served with graham cracker coconut ice cream.

Gram & Dun also offers a variety of after dinner coffee drinks featuring Roasterie Air - Roasted coffee. Dessert wines, cognac and brandy are offered as well.

With a price range of $12.00 - $30.00 per person and valet parking, it's fine dining but not at fine dining price. With comfortable seating inside and an outdoor patio that was voted a favorite, Gram & Dun is a great place for all seasons.
