Grail Spring Wellness Retreat has hit a new healing high. Well known for its spa detox programs, cleansing therapies and spiritually-themed retreats, Grail Springs is now embracing the transformational properties of geomancy - a first for a spa in Canada.
What is Geomancy?
Geomancy seeks to study and tap into the earth's powerful and mysterious energies. Think of it as the fine art of tuning into the subtle forces of energy-charged areas around the globe. Believe it or not there are many such places. Think ley lines in Glastonbury, chakra lines in Poland and even more famously, such legendary and mystical spots as Delphi, Machu Picchu and Stonehenge.
But in a spa?
Don't knock it 'til you try it. Wellness and geomancy go hand in hand. Tapping into the earth’s vital forces can help people connect with the power of the natural world in order to feel grounded and, ideally, to gain strength, balance and harmony. And Grail Springs is not the first to recognize this transformational potential for spa-goers.
Bad Blumau, a thermal water spa in Austria where ecology, art and healing have come together to create a resort ‘with a soul,’ has long had its own Geomantic Path created on an energy sensitive section of land affirmed by artist and natural healer Marko Pogacnik.
Why Grail Springs?
Some spots are just more sensitive than others. According to geomancer Alan Reed, who Grail Springs has partnered with to ‘super charge’ their facility, “Grail Springs is a magical piece of land. Not only is it located within the ancient landscape of the Canadian Shield - the oldest exposed rock on the planet - it is located on a massive natural outcropping of pink crystal." Reed says that "working with nature's harmonics we'll simply be augmenting Grail Spring's special energy by creating unique spaces for guests to tune into earth's nourishing energies."
Look out for:
The 600 pound rare 'Elphin Crystal’ installed on property as well as strategically placed quartz, basalt and moonstones used to enhance nature’s ‘natural pulse.’
Try something new
It might not be your average spa weekend of massages and facials, but why not expand your boundaries? Grail Springs has planned a number of special workshops and talks with Alan Reed such as Awakening the Grid and Nourishing the Soul. Visit the Grail Springs website for more information and dates.
