Graham, who includes The Wine Bar in Saratoga Springs, MezzaNotte Ristorante in Guilderland, and currently Max London's in Saratoga Springs, on his resume, will move into his new post on October 15.
He succeeds Paul Ozimek, who ended his stint at Taste last Friday after a 4½-year stint "to pursue other opportunities," according to a posting on the TU's Table Hopping blog.
Ozimek succeeded founding chef Dale Miller, whose name adorned the upscale Albany restaurant before he left to go to Sperry's in Saratoga Springs and owner Maura Gannon changed the name to Taste.
Graham, a familiar face on the regional fundraising circuit and in culinary competitions, will debut his first Taste menu during the next Downtown Albany Restaurant Week, October 19-25, then will a new menu on Tuesday, October 29.
Graham is a native of Boston and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. His early kitchen experience included the nearby Berkshires of Massachusetts at The Seven Hills and The Egremont Inn before moving to California, including a stint as a sous chef under Wolfgang Puck and Michael French at Spago in Palo Alto, CA. He returnd to the Northeast as chef at The Wine Bar in Saratoga in 2001.
