As news comes out today all over the web and on shows such as Good Morning America, Graco announces they are recalling 3.8 million child safety seats. Graco does have a website and Facebook page. Its states they are getting flooded with phone calls and messages.
Graco explains that when the buckle has dried food or drinks caught in the latch the buckle in these child seats once latched may not come unlatched which in part is trapping the child in the seat. The recall involves the toddler convertible car seats, and booster seats that were purchased from 2009 to 2013.
Graco wants customers to contact them directly for new and improved buckle. To be replaced on the car seat. They want you to contact customer service at 800-345-4109

These models are part of the recalls Cozy Cline, Comfort Sport, Classic Ride 50, My Ride 65, My Ride 70, My Ride 65 with Safety Surround, Size4Me 70, My Size 70, Head Wise 70, Smart Seat, Nautilus 3-in-1, Nautilus Elite and Argos.
Graco’s infant seats are not affected in this recall.
Upon reading the Facebook page, it sounds that customers are not happy with the way Graco is handling the situation. Customers and extremely frustrated because they cannot get through and sit on hold or even hung on. Parents are afraid to take their children in the car for having a faulty car seat.
