Grab those skates and get into the Olympic spirit!

Take advantage of the winter season while getting into the Olympic spirit - take the family ice skating!

Local area rinks are currently offering public skate times now through the month of March.

Open skating is available at the Indiana State Fairground Pepsi Coliseum Monday - Friday from 1pm-10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 10pm. Admission is $3 for children under 12, and $4 for those 13 and older. Figure skates are available to rent for $2 and hockey skates for $3.

If you're a south-sider looking for something a little closer to home, check out Perry Park. Perry Park skate rink currently has public skate times Tuesday - Friday from 3pm - 5pm, Fridays from 6pm - 8pm, then on the weekends Saturdays from 2pm - 4pm, and 6pm - 8pm, and on Sundays from 2pm - 4pm. Admission is free for children under 2 years, $4 for those 3 -17, and $5 for those 18 and older.  Skate rental is $2 per pair.

If you are looking for something more serious, be sure to ask on sight about available skate lessons or seasonal leagues.  You may not be able to spin like Tanith Belbin, but you can sure have fun trying!
