GPTMC helps local couple with Valentine’s proposal

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) are responsible for the “With Love, Philadelphia” campaign. The purpose is to let people know what is going on around town and to increase visitors to the area.

The campaign has been successful introducing Philly to residents and new comers. Now they can add playing cupid to their list of successes.

On Valentine’s Day they helped Jeremy Kaplan propose to his girlfriend Emily Schrag. They helped him stage a romantic proposal on the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
Jeremy won the With Love proposal contest. He submitted an essay about how important Philadelphia was to his love story. His essay won him a personalized engagement message in the With Love- style emblazoned on the side of a trolley, a $5000 Hearts on Fire Acclaim ring provided by Bernie Robbins Jewelers, an overnight stay at the Hotel Monaco Philadelphia, a serenade by the Philadelphia String Quartet and more.

After the proposal, where Emily did say, YES, she was surprised when out of town family members came out of the trolley to congratulate the happy couple.

The GPTMC “With Love” campaign has produced some really entertaining signage and many locals look forward to the new signs to see what will come next. Using them to let residents share their special moments is just another way to share the love.

Congratulations to Jeremy and Emily!
