A bike navigation system - this may be just what you need to get around town without getting lost. Schwinn will be introducing its new CycleNav Smart Bike Navigator for the first time on Sunday, January 5th at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Schwinn was founded in 1895 and has building bikes ever since so it is only fitting that they are now introducing a tool to assist all bikers in their travels.
Schwinn CycleNav is a free mobile application paired with a handlebar-mounted smart-bike navigation unit and is the first navigation device that, when connected to a smart phone via Bluetooth, provides audio commands and visual light indicators to direct riders to their desired destination. The app marks Schwinn’s first entry into the world of mobile technology, continuing the brand’s legacy of innovation and advancement of bike riding for the masses.
Schwinn will be showing the CycleNav for the first time at CES Unveiled on Sunday, January 5 from 4:00-7:00pm and I have been invited for an early look. I'll be hiking in the beautiful Red Rock country of Southern Utah at that time, but plan to find the CycleNav later in the week.
Meanwhile, you can be one of the first people in the world to view the attached video and find out exactly what the CycleNav can do. Get one for your bike and . . .
Keep on Traveling!
