News has hit the media that there is a type of therapy that has been conducted to attempt to change the feelings and conduct of teenagers who are gay (homosexual) or have gay tendencies to focus and change them to being straight.
People young and old feel what they feel for a reason. The exact science behind it is still misunderstood by many and can’t be explained. No matter what path individuals choose to live their lives it should be their choice and not be forced to change for political or religious reasons. California is the only other state that has banned this form of therapy.
It is believed that health risks can factor into forcible therapy that can affect individuals on various levels. Their mental and emotional demeanor are at the highest risk as they live their lives as a lie and not what they feel is right for them to make them whole inside and out.
Forcing teenagers upon gay conversion therapy sessions will certainly cause defiance and confusion in young people. It can also be thought to be a form of child abuse to make a child try and become something they don’t feel was the way nature intended them to live out their lives.
Do you agree what Christie is doing is the right thing? Do you believe that conversion therapy is unconstitutional?
