The Obama administration’s intent on increasing anti-firearm legislation and requirements through executive orders by President Obama has one survivor of the Hitler regime, Kitty Werthmann who was born in Austria, telling Americans to buy more firearms, Drew Zahn of WND reported on Saturday.
The video of her story and warning was released in June 2011 when she delivered a speech at a Tea Party rally in New Jersey but the National Rifle Association picked up the video of her speech a few days ago warning Americans of the government’s over-reach of abuse of violations of the 2nd Amendment.
In her speech, Werthmann said, “In 1938, the media reported that Hitler rolled into Austria with tanks and guns and took us over. Not true at all. The Austrian people elected Hitler by 98 percent of the vote, by means of the ballot box.”
She went on to say, “Now, you might ask, how could a Christian nation… almost 100 percent Catholic… to elect a monster like Hitler?”
“The truth is, at the beginning, Hitler didn’t look like or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.”
“We also had gun registration… the Austrian people all had guns. But the government said the guns are very dangerous, “Werthmann said.
Werthmann went on to explain the reasons why the government wanted everyone to register their guns and it was mainly because of occasional firearm accidents and when a criminal committed a crime, they could trace the firearm serial numbers back to the criminal.
“Dictatorship didn’t happen overnight. It took five years, gradually, little by little, to escalate up to a dictatorship,” Werthman said.
Werthman said , “When the people fear the government, that’s tyranny… When the government fears the people, that’s you, that’s liberty. Keep your guns, keep your guns and buy more guns!”
In related news, the TeaParty.org reported that gun re-registration has begun in D.C. and may lead to arrest, fines and imprisonment as well as confiscation of their firearms if any citizen does not comply.
In addition, in a turnabout with his views of firearms and assault rifles in which he wanted a crackdown on such weapons, Fox News reported on Friday that Detroit police chief James Craig is now saying that more citizens should be armed.
After working in Los Angeles and Maine, Craig said at a news conference, “I changed my orientation real quick. Maine is one of the safest places in America. Clearly, suspects knew that good Americans were armed.”
