Government planning to slow roll Social Security checks

Here is government you can't depend on brought to you by the Republican Party and House of Representatives.

Don’t believe for an instance that this Tea Party hijacking of the American government doesn’t have meaningful, immediate and direct consequences. While the Republicans threaten to throw the economy into another tailspin of their own making, they are also forcing government to mess with your Social Security check.

If the situation continues, your Social Security check will be at least 3 days late. Do they believe that it doesn’t make a difference to those living check to check? For crying out loud, who do they think they are? They work for We the People.

According to a report this morning, the Treasury Secretary, Jack Lew, will start prioritizing what bills to pay.

“But it's not without its problems. It will mean delays, sometimes days or weeks. The Bipartisan Policy Center estimates that in the first month, Social Security payments will be made three days late, food stamp payments five days later and active duty personnel would get their checks about 12 days late.”

Really, American citizens must put a stop to this nonsensical behavior at once and demand that the House of Representatives restore financial order.

Use the legislative process to fix things that they don’t like, but crisis and after crisis is not the way Congress should be performing.
