The crème de la crème of French gourmet food and fine wines, Monsieur Marcel has joined Canon Drive’s esteemed restaurant row thanks to the efforts of co-founders, Stephane and Katy Strouk and new partner, Emile Malka.
Restaurateurs since 1993, the Strouks have been dedicated to bringing the French bistro experience to Los Angeles epicures. This marks their third Southern California site. The original opened 13 years ago at LA’s Farmers Market and an authentic petit bistro, five years later on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade.
A foodie’s paradise, Monsieur Marcel is stocked with all things delicious from caviar to charcuterie, crusty breads, cheese plates, desserts and beyond. There are also more than 250 types of cheese, 350 different wines, and a dramatic assortment of meats, olives, gourmet marmalades, mustards and sauces, many exclusive to them.
The 7000 square-foot Canon Drive location features an expansive serving bar that allows diners to choose from a wide complement of freshly made sandwiches, salads and hot entrees, easily packaged for convenient take-home or enjoyed while perched at one of the on-premise high-tops.
Monsieur Marcel is located at 447 North Canon Drive, Beverly Hills and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 9 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The menu is at once comfortable, yet refined with a selection of traditional French dishes including crepes, quiches and sandwiches gives rise to classic entrees including boeuf bourguignon and coq au vin. To satisfy your sweet tooth there’ mousse au chocolat and tarte tatin to die for.
