People around the world have been inspired by Frank Warren's "community art project," which is known to the general public as PostSecret.

Since November 2004, Warren has been collecting secrets from strangers. He passed out postcards to strangers, with instructions and left them in public places for people to find.
According to www.experiencefestival.com, the instructions are as follows "You are invited to anonymously contribute your secrets to PostSecret. Each secret can be a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, erotic desire, feeling, confession, or childhood humiliation. Reveal anything-- as long as it is true and you have never shared it with anyone before".
Since his idea came to fruition through what is now a critically acclaimed blog, Warren has received over 150,000 secrets, The book jacket most recent PostSecret book, A Lifetime of Secrets, claims that the book "lays bare our private fears, hopes, regrets, and desires".
Last year, Goucher college created their own PostSecret display. Students collected index cards with Warren's original instructions on them and transformed their secrets into works of art. Once the respective secrets were collected, they were displayed around campus for all to see.
Hopefully, an invent such as this will not be a one time thing.
