From Los Angeles to Africa to Washington, DC to New York City and now London, 24's Jack Bauer has keeping the world safe from terrorism as FOX's very own brooding 'Dark Knight'.

And speaking of FOX and Batman, a partnership has been made -- sort of, as the network orders Gotham to series for 13 episodes this fall.

As we all know, Gotham is known for the city filled with organized crime, corruption, and its notorious rogue gallery of super-villains that includes the Penguin, Catwoman, and the Riddler.

Most of all, it is the home of the Caped Crusader known as Batman and his ally/friend Commissioner James Gordon.

Now, we'll see how the legend of these two heroes began, as Gotham follows James "Jim" Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie) in his years as a detective with the GCPD, where he is under the guidance of mentor and partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue).

Gordon becomes a mentor in his own right with young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), whose parents was murdered ... and whose life will be changed forever.
