Mondays were ruled by either 24's Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and/or NBC's Heroes for one reason only: save the world from the forces of evil.
Now, FOX hopes to achieve that success again this fall with Gotham, the highly anticipated prequel chronicling James Gordon (Benjamim McKenzie)'s years as a detective with the Gotham City police and young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) struggling with the tragic murder of his parents.
One will become commissioner while the other will work outside the shadows -- and the law -- as a vigilante, a brooding Dark Knight, the Caped Crusader known as Batman.
However, Gotham will not just be about the birth of these two heroes, for it is also the beginnings of several of Batman's rogue gallery of villains: Edward Nygma, Selina Kyle, and Oswald Cobblepot, who will soon be known as the Riddler, the Penguin, and Catwoman, Batman's on/off ally, enemy, and soulmate.
Gotham will air Mondays at 8pm on FOX this fall, as Bones moves back to Thursdays at 8pm for its tenth season.
