This preview is every Dair shipper’s greatest wish and every Chair shipper’s worst nightmare. Gossip Girl was right that the couple would grow closer together, because in this promo, they are locked together at the lips!
There are two people though, who don’t find their sweet new romance amusing. Serena and Chuck are not thrilled about this new couple and it’s easy to understand why. Serena and Blair’s friendship was strained at best, now it’s all but destroyed. Chuck can’t understand what Blair is thinking. He tells Dan, “You can’t compete against me, Humphrey.” Full of confidence, Dan answers, “I’m not competing. I must be winning!”
The synopsis for “Cross Rhodes” reads:
DAN’S BOOK IS SHOWCASED BY UPRIGHT CITIZEN’S BRIGADE — Dan (Penn Badgley) feels honored when he learns that Upright Citizen’s Brigade is performing excerpts from his book,Inside. Blair (Leighton Meester) tries to prove Serena’s (Blake Lively) suspicions wrong in order to save their friendship. On her way out of town, Ivy (Kaylee DeFer) ends up on a collision course with the Van der Woodsens.
