The GMA Dove Awards are often referred to as “Gospel’s Biggest Night” and this year the award show is only getting bigger. Earlier today, in a press release, the Gospel Music Association announced that for the 45th annual Dove awards the shows broadcast will be moving from UP TV (formerly The Gospel Music Channel) to The Trinity Broadcasting Network (also known as TBN). TBN is currently the world's largest faith-and family television group, so by making this switch, this year the GMA Dove awards will be broadcast to over 100 million US homes, in addition to receiving Global distribution.

During a press conference earlier this morning, held at Lipscomb University, nominees for the 20 of the 42 award categories were announced.
