Da’ T.R.U.T.H. releases a new album after his recent Stellar Award win, a new compilation of gospel hits and a former American Idol contestant puts out his debut CD. Here are the albums released Tuesday, Jan. 28.
“Love, Hope and War”-Da’ T.R.U.T.H. This the 2013 Stellar Award winner’s sixth studio album. Songs include “D.O.S.- Death of Silence,” “The City,” “The G.O.A.T” and “Hope” featuring Thi’sl on the hook, with Flame and Trip Lee on the verses.
“WOW Gospel 2013”-Various Artists. The album includes the very best of Gospel music from the past year, and includes songs from Pastor Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago ("Awesome"); Forever Jones ("Every Moment"); Kierra Sheard ("Indescribable"); William McDowell ("I Won't Go Back"); Fred Hammond ("I Feel Good"); and Marvin Sapp ("My Testimony"). The DVD features live performances and concept videos from Jessica Reedy; Zacardi Cortez; J Moss; VaShawn Mitchell and Marvin Sapp among others. Additionally, a deluxe digital version is available with additional tracks including Jonathan McReynolds' "I Love You;" and "Majesty" by Deon Kipping, Jason Nelson and William Murphy.
“A Messenger”-Colton Dixon. he former “American Idol” contestant has created a 12-track album. "Never Gone" became Dixon's first ever number one Christian hit. Other songs include“You Are,” “Love Has Come for Me,” and “Scars.”
