Gospel Extravaganza is underway

     The 2010 Gospel Extravaganza is a multi-church community choir that convenes every year  to provide a benefit concert. The charity is Aid Upstate.  Every year this concert is able to bring in lots of big names including National recording artists and a plethora of local talent from the Upstate and across South Carolina.

This event is to be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at The Allen Temple AME Church in downtown Greenville, SC at 4:00 pm.

There is NO COST, although any donations are greatly welcomed. Anything collected will go toward Aid Upstate.

Aid Upstate is a very necessary organization in that such an alarming number of young people in South Carolina has contracted HIV and/or Aids. The organization is devoted to support for the ill and education for the community of the facts about Aids: How it is spread and how it is prevented and also about how it is NOT spread.

Everyone is affected by this disease either directly or indirectly, and the 2010 Gospel Extravaganza Choir is committed to uplift God's praises and raise spirits, raise awareness and raise money for this community asset.

The Special guest for 2010 Gospel Extravaganza:

Jonathan Nelson

Mr. Nelson is a Stellar award winning singer, songwriter and composer from Baltimore, Maryland.

Any persons from any denomination or background who wishes to participate is welcome. The first preparatory meeting will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Aiken Chapel Baptist Church , 101 Aiken Chapel Rd, Taylors, SC 29687. The time is 5:00 pm. (MEET AND GREET POSTPONED TO FEBRUARY 2, 2010 AT 7:OOPM)

The first meeting is designated as a 'Meet and Greet' where you will receive music and lyrics and instructions for future rehearsals. There is a small, one time materials fee of $10.00. Dinner will be served.
