Gospel artist Kendall King ignited Saturday’s Gospel Lunch Cruise with a spirited concert as the Spirit of Washington cruised the Potomac River. King recently released her new CD, Faithful. She performed before a near-capacity crowd on both decks.
The versatile singer delivered many of her hits from Faithful and the audience got really involved when she sang the energetic “Crazy Praz.” King was backed by a superior group of singers that included Lisa Locke, Karen Pernell, Lloyd Pernell and inspirational gospel artist Robert E. Person (Soul Sanctuary). But make no mistake, Kendall King sees her musical performance as a ministry outreach opportunity.
"Performing on the Spirit of Washington is such an awesome opportunity because you get to meet so many different people from different places, really from around the world. You get to touch the lives of people you wouldn’t necessarily get to touch at a normal service or at a concert, so I’m just grateful for the opportunity to be able to minister on the Spirit of Washington and to just be able to share God’s love and to testify of just how good God has been and how awesome He can be in the lives of people."
There are other opportunities to catch this dynamic artist this month. Kendall King will perform aboard the Spirit of Washington on October 15th. She will also be in full concert at the Christ Church of Light and Salvation Anniversary Banquet on October 29th.
