The new Ryan Gosling film booed at Cannes Film Festival. Apparently the film's title, "Only God Forgives", was taken to heart by the Cannes screening audience. According to a report by United Press International on May 22, 2013, the star did not even bother to show up.
"Ryan Gosling couldn't make it to the Cannes Film Festival this year despite starring in one of its premieres."
He wrote a letter to the festival director explaining his absence. Gosling was busy working on his own film where he will make his directorial debut right now.

Films including 1992's "Pulp Fiction" and 1977's "Taxi Driver".
The 32-year-old Canadian actor who got his start as a child actor on TV's "Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1990's is involved with no less than five film projects this year including the two previously mentioned.
