On Feb. 22 Gorillaz premiered their new song "DoYaThing" featuring Andre 3000, and James Murphy on BBC Radio 1. The song is part of Converse's "Three Artists. One Song" campaign which does exactly as the title suggests, brings three different artists together to create one new song. You can listen to Gorillaz new song "DoYaThing" featuring Andre 3000, and James Murphy here.
Gorillaz lead vocalist Stuart "2D" Pot (Stuart Harold Tusspot) begins "DoYaThing" with two verses, while James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem provides the chorus. Andre 3000 from Outkast raps the last verse, which is fast and lengthy. The song ends with a member of Gorillaz repeatedly asking, "Can we get an Outkast album now?" which is something a lot of people have probably been asking.
Previously for the "Three Artists. One Song" project Converse released the track "All Summer" by Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend, and Best Coast. You can listen to that song here.
The song "DoYaThing" will be available to download for free beginning Feb. 23 via the Converse website. There will also be a music video for the song, but no official release date has been set. For more information on "Three Artists. One Song" visit: converse.com
