An undoubtedly confused, assuredly depressed, female German shepherd has just four days to live in Roswell, N.M.
The dog, named "Athena," is in the prime of her life at just three-years of age, but unless help arrives by Sept. 30, she will be destroyed.
Athena is sitting in cage number 66 at the Roswell Animal Control. She was impounded on Sept. 23, and by animal control policy, if she is not tagged for rescue by Sept. 30, she will be put down at 7 a.m. the following morning.
Prior to Athena's arrival at this facility, she surely had a family - today, she is wondering how her life was turned upside down. She has no idea where her family has gone, or why she was left behind.
Please take a moment to network for Athena before she is gone forever.
