Update 6/6/14: According to United Hope for Animals, Betty Blue has been rescued!
A stunning, one-year-old pit bull named Betty Blue has found herself without a home not once, but twice within the same year.
Betty Blue's original owners surrendered her to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center in Baldwin Park, Calif., earlier this year. The first time around, Betty Blue beat the odds and she was adopted - sadly, a short time later, that happily-ever-after ending was shattered when she was returned to the same facility just a short time later.
According to a shelter volunteer, even though Betty Blue has shown herself to be non-reactive to other dogs and passed her shelter administered temperament test with "flying colors," she has been listed as rescue only and she will only be released to a Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control adoption partner.
Betty Blue does not have the luxury of time - according to a shelter volunteer, she has until Tuesday to be rescued from this facility.
