Ft. Lauderdale, FL--Gordon Marketing of Noblesville, Indiana (gordonmarketing.com), one of the nation's largest health insurance brokerage organization has announced that their local Palm Beach county agent, Joseph V Leech has just completed his complete certification of products for the 2014 Medicare Annual Enrollment Period.
This has included certication in basic subjects such as senior ethics, basic medicare, and other general topics in addition to certification to sell and provide special products for the Medicaid client and those with chronic illnesses.
Gordon is a multi-company brokerage frim and their agents are qualified to offer a range of products so that clients, while visiting with just one agent, can receive the benefit of the full range of offerings, and not just the offerings of one company which is more typical as presented by “captive” agents to one company.
Joe Leech, himself a senior, has been a health insurance professional for over 15 years and has been active in the senior market in Fl for six years. He offers a full range of medicare related products as well as help and information on other senior benefits (see http://localseniorbenefits.com).
He is available to help any senior by appointment by calling his office at 561-214-4709, and appointments will be held at the residence of the senior. That help can include a complete review of Medicare entitlements, a discussion of Medicare Advantage vs Medicarfe Supplement; when to apply or wait for Part B enrollment, as well as specific products.
It was pointed out that while a Medicare Advantage plan must provide coverage on every basic medicare benefit, each company offering this product has range to name co pays, in or out of network coverage, max out of pocket limits, etc. In addtion, each company has the choice to offer certain additional benefits such as dental or vision coverage, or a Part B “giveback”. For this reason, it is IMPERATIVE for the propsective insured to get and understand all of their options.
Within the Medicare Supplement area, the law requires that a letter plan benefit (Plan F, for example) be identical among every company offering that plan, but insurance companies can set their own rates and are not required to offer every plan named by Medicare. Again, it is imperative that one considering Medicare work through a multi company certified and qualified agent.
We have been reminded that due to CMS regulations, he can not phone contact the prospect, but instead, the appointment request must be initiated by the prospective insuree. In addition, a printed scope of appointment must be completed prior to any discussion where the products to be discussed are identified and no other non medical products are allowed to be introduced such as long term care, burial insurance, etc.
Products for 2014 will be available for discussion on Oct 1st.
