The University of Minnesota and the Big Ten Conference officially announced the University of Minnesota men's hockey television schedule today, which sees local affiliate FOX Sports North televising nineteen games. Other networks that you'll see the Gophers on include Big Ten Network (BTN) and ESPN. The Northstar College Cup on January 24-25 will be seen on FOX Sports North as well as Hockey Day Minnesota the weekend before (Jan 18).
Five games will not be on television, including the series finale versus Penn State in Minneapolis on March 1st, 2014. Big Ten Network will televise all games in the Big Ten Tournament from St. Paul's Xcel Energy Center. Hockey East owns the rights to the Fighting Irish's series with Minnesota, and information for that series will be published when available.
Additionally, the Big Ten officially scheduled three conference series that had previously been listed as Thursday-Friday-Saturday to-be-determined games. The Gophers will host Michigan State on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 and will host Michigan on Feb. 14-15. Minnesota’s road series at Wisconsin has been set up for Feb. 6-7.
