Minnesota and Wisconsin gather in Madison this week for a special Thursday-Friday series with both games on BTN/BTN2Go.com. Thursday’s series kickoff will start at 7:30pm CT while Friday’s 8pm CT start is part of another Frozen Friday double-dip for the network. You want numbers? Here. You. Go.

159: Minnesota has one hundred and fifty-nine wins versus Wisconsin in all-time play. Wisconsin has eighty-seven victories and twenty-one games have ended in a tie.

5: Minnesota’s Mike Reilly has tallied one assist in each of the last five games. He leads Big Ten defensemen in points with twenty-two.

2: As in number two, Adam Wilcox was honored by the Big Ten this morning with the league’s Second Star of the Week. It is his second consecutive award.

19: Minnesota enters the weekend with a 19-2-5 record on the season, with eight wins coming in Big Ten play.

8: When goal differential is two or less, Minnesota is 8-0-0. Seven wins have come in games decided by a goal while one win came via a two goal decision.

3: In the last three games played in Madison versus the Badgers, Minnesota is 2-1-0. The only loss came on November 11th, 2011, or 11/11/11. The game however didn’t start at 11:11am that day.

3/3/13: You have to go back to March 3rd of 2013 to find the last shorthanded Gopher goal. Erik Haula, now with the Minnesota Wild, scored it in a 2-1 Minnesota win.

6: Minnesota’s Seth Ambroz has six two-goal games, and the last of them came against Wisconsin on November 30th, 2013.
