Normally you would expect a lot of rules when it comes to brewing a great beer. Thankfully some American craft brewers have broken a few of these rules along the way to produce some of the world’s finest beers..Goose Island Beer Company is quietly establishing itself in de wereld van het bier. Just weeks ago they released The Endless IPA which celebrates the aroma and taste of hops in its Limited Release Series.
The hops used in this Limited Release Series trace their story to Elk Mountain Farms in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Elk Mountain Farms plants, grows and harvests hops exclusively for Goose Island beers. The aroma and flavor of Endless IPA impresses with a one-of-a-kind Amarillo hops that are hand selected and picked early in the season at Elk Mountain Farms.
More recently Goose Island has released The Ogden, which is a Belgian Tripel (a strong blond ale). The term Tripel is derived from the low lands region of The Netherlands and Belgium, though the exact origin of the term is unknown. The Ogden is a tasty brew with lots of malt and citrus overtones. It is a strong and smooth ale perfect for summer cookouts.
Goose Island continues to impress bierliefhebbers everywhere and the future is filled with high expectations of more to come. Visit their web page www.GooseIsland.com for more information on the entire product line. Cheers, or as they say in Belgium, "cheers!" No translation is needed, enjoy!
