Google UFO logo leads to unexplained phenomenon searches

Google's ever-changing logo features a saucer-shaped spacecraft today

A Google logo featuring a saucer-shaped spacecraft shining a light on the second "o" has the Web atwitter with searches for unexplained phenomenon, the Taos hum and more evidence of the paranormal.

All of those searches are among the most common this morning, according to Google Trends. Google regularly changes its logo, but this one appears to be attracting more attention than usual. Some have suggested Google is trying to tell us something about aliens arriving soon on Earth.

For those of you who have never heard of the Taos hum conspiracy, here is YouTube video that gives a primer. Listen closely!

Bill, what you refer to as a "light on the second 'o'" is obviously a tractor beam. Come on, geek it up!

Today is the anniversary of the launch of the Voyager I spacecraft. Maybe this is their way of suggesting that some aliens wanted to find where it came from?

The special Sept. 5 Google logo references the UFO festival in Exeter of this day.

shame on google for encouraging this pseudoscience and making it all look credible.

Obviously none of the people who are commenting on this article actually clicked on the logo yesterday and read any of the pages at the top of the results. I did and went several pages deep into the results and did not see anything related to this "festival."

It's amazing how many people have opinions that didn't even click on it.

You want fries with that BS the organized media is pushing?

The google logo makes no reference to anything...it's there to make you think. The amazing thing is that Google now shows how much influence they have worldwide if they wanted to educate the world on a subject in one day.

Imagine the Google UFO logo up there all week and what people could finally learn about the "reality" that the media (US in paticular) fails to educate people on. Where's the trillions of missing dollars the US black budget stole? Why did they need 3 trillion? Why isn't there an investigation or media outcry? Maybe Google can expose what the news laughs at while we go broke. Newscasters and reporters aren't the sharpest people to trust your life to or get the "truth".

    All of you are WRONG.
The same time Google put up that ufo they posted a bunch of numbers on their twitter account. twitter.com/google
    1.12.12 25.15.21.18 15 1.18.5 2.5.12.15.14.7 20.15 21.19
    Which translates to
"All your O are belong to us,"
That refers to zero wing that was released on September 5th, 1989
