Google logo celebrates Mary Leakey's 100th birthday

Google celebrates Mary Leakey's 100th birthday today with a doodle. Mary Leakey was an anthropologist and archaeologist. Mary was born in 1913 in London and passed away in 1996.

She discovered the first fossilized Proconsul skull. She developed a system of classifying stone tools found at the Olduvai Gorge. She became a leading palaeoanthropologist and taught the skill to her son.
