Google aired their first ad featuring Google Now for the Google LG Nexus 4, "Live in the Now" at last night's Grammy Music Awards, Feb. 11, 2013 announced by BGR.
Google Now is Google's alternative to Apple's virtual assistant Siri. Google Now uses search history and location history on the LG Nexus 4 to determine user specific information that may be useful at specific times. Examples of this include, determining the commute time home from work based on current traffic conditions, instant weather information before stepping outside, how to converse in different languages when traveling out of the country, and being able to determine how long in advance a user will have to leave to arrive to appointment on time.
In addition, BGR reported that the Google Wireless Charger accessory for the Nexus 4 went on sale in the Google Play store for $60. The new wireless charger features an angular surface for easy visibility and use of your LG Nexus 4 while it charges. The Google Wireless Charger is designed specifically for the Nexus 4, so the user will not have to purchase additional accessories to charge their Nexus 4 wirelessly.
Google stated that all orders of the Google Wireless charger will be shipping out in a less than a week so Nexus 4 users will be able to enjoy the chargers shortly. The LG Nexus 4 is one of the few Android smartphones that features the latest Android operating system Jelly Bean. Google Now is exclusively featured on the Android Jelly Bean operating system.
