Google Hummingbird Algorithm Sends SEO Experts Flying

See also

Google's release of the Hummingbird algorithm is the biggest algorithm update since caffeine was released, and must be addressed immediately to gain top rankings in the SERP's. The Google Hummingbird algorithm is not just an update, but a new algorithm that still makes use of the Panda and Penguin updates plus other relevant updates that Google has made.

One of the challenges that small businesses face is implementing SEO strategies for the Google search algorithm, the Hummingbird. The Hummingbird algorithm made changes in the SERP's to help internet users get the best information available online, and have inadvertently affected the rankings of many small businesses. Some businesses that

were ranking before the implementation of the new Hummingbird algorithm suddenly found themselves losing top rankings in Google searches. This is causing trouble for companies that rely heavily on internet traffic for their sales, because of the un-announced change.

This new algorithm places focus on much more than backlinks, which were old school SEO experts strategy. Now site performance, coding, navigation, linking, along with original relevant content, plus social media mentions, plus other criteria will all be considered for top rankings by the Google algorithm.

SEO is no longer something a business owner can implement without a well thought out strategy that covers all bases.
