I think Google finally showed its true colors in the trial case going on right now. They openly admit opening and reading every email that passes through Gmail whether it is from their customers or from other email service providers. They see nothing wrong with it and think it is fine to take your information, your personal statements, the emails from your friends and family or work and using them to make money. It is time for them to start paying for making billions off the private emails of people. They are claiming the terms of service allow them to do this. It is a simple thing; many people do not use Gmail and have not agreed to the terms of service from Google. It certainly appears that a class action lawsuit is forthcoming.
I have stated for a quiet some time that Google was doing this type of thing. It is not right. I have been a great supporter of Google but they seem to have lost their way in the last few years. It is now about collecting every piece of information about all people private or not and selling it for profit. It is time they get stopped.
I have almost totally stopped using Gmail because of this type of invasion of my privacy. I have also found that they have issues with billing people from on section to another according to the email I got questioning billing to my bank account.
From Google: “The reason why you are seeing Google AdWords is because of an ongoing issue where Google AdWords is mentioned along with Google Apps charges on the credit card statement and our engineers are working to resolve this asap.”
It appears they are no longer the company we all thought they were.
