“Goodnight for Justice: Queen of Hearts” is a Hallmark Movie Channel Original starring Luke Perry as circuit judge John Goodnight. The movie, the third movie in the series, premiered on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.
The movie stars Luke Perry and co-stars Ricky Schroder (“NYPD Blue”) and Katharine Isabelle (“Endgame”). "Goodnight for Justice" was Hallmark's highest rated film ever, according to information from Hallmark Channel. John Goodnight is based on a character by Luke Perry who also serves as executive producer.
The sequel rejoins circuit Judge John Goodnight (Luke Perry) as he travels the Western
territory in the 1880s. As a circuit judge, Goodnight travels from town to town in the rugged, wild west to dispense justice.
During his travels, Goodnight comes upon a stagecoach under attack and pulls his gun. The lone survivor is a beautiful woman, Lucy (Katharine Isabelle), who is handcuffed to the stagecoach. Goodnight offers to escort Lucy to the next town, not realizing that she is a scam artist and thief who is on the run from the law.
Goodnight believes that he has saved Lucy from vicious kidnappers, and introduces himself. Lucy tells him she was on her way west to buy some property for her father’s wealthy mining company. Believing her, and thinking she is beautiful, John offers to escort her to the next town. They ride through the night and Goodnight finds himself enjoying her company.
Just as Goodnight does not realize that Lucy is a con-artist, Lucy does not realize that he is an honest judge. Without knowing the truth about eachother, the two become infatuated.
Lucy is running from Cyril Knox (Ricky Schroder), a wealthy aristocrat who wants her jailed because she has scammed him out of money.
Lucy decides she must convince John to help her flee—right onto a gambling riverboat. Can Lucy con John into helping her get away with her crimes, or will the fair judge find out Lucy's true identity and turn her in himself?
