Yesterday was the final day of Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013. Running between shows uptown, downtown as well as rejuvenating at the luxe lounges will be a distant memory until September rolls around again for the Spring 2014 season.
The first beauty suite I visited was at Lulu’s over on the West Side Hwy. Media guests were treated to all sorts of goodies: Lara Bars, POM juice, Goodie hair accessories, Miss Jessie’s curling enhancements products, along with loads of other awesome sponsors.
The most famous of all suites, The Daily Suite also featured some of my favorite products including: Organic Avenue juice, along with a new line by Duro Olowu for JC Penney. Members of the press were generously treated to two products by Duro Olowu before the line goes online and out to the public. I chose two Duro Olowu tablet holders which also can double as a stylish handbag.
Over at the Crier PR lounge on the Penthouse Level in a building in midtown, Sprayology, the homeopathic oral spray features products for just about any and every ailment. The founder created the product after her son suffered a hard hit to his head. Sprayology with Arnica sped-up his recovery and also inspired more Sprayology options.
The final suite for Nolcha at Yotel, hosted a ‘Blogger’s Brunch’ with hair-styling and products by RUSK as well as Kind bars, Smart Water, Real Benz coffee and Foco coconut water.
The final shows/presentations included: Diego Binetti and Angel Sanchez.
Diego Binetti decided on a clever, punk-rock tea party theme at the Westbeth Theatre.
Bold, sparkly pieces on each model, truly did rock the house. Also at the Diego Binetti presentation, a live band played and Love Grace Juice along with Kusmi Tea refreshed the guests. As we exited, Repechage eye-pads were given out to help combat the dark circles and bags during the fashion week experience.
The final runway show for Angel Sanchez was a last-minute decision. I wasn’t ready to say good-bye yet to Fashion Week, so attending the Angel Sanchez show was the perfect way to bid farewell to the Fall 2013 season first-looks. I was completely star-struck when I noticed legendary, Carolina Herrera in the front row!
