Peace, it is something all of us search for yet many find elusive. Once it is found, it must be cherished, remembered, and above all, shared, for it is what the world desperately needs from each and every one of us.
"Your Peace in the Puzzle" is the theme for Good Samaritan Ministries' 2013 annual fundraising banquet., which will be held next Saturday, October 5th, at 6:00PM at New Hope Community Church. Dinner will be served at 6pm and will be followed by a joyous time of fellowship and reflection with music performed by Stephanie Cooke and a Live Art performance by Briana Halverson.
The keynote address to be delivered by Bo Stern of Bend, author of Beautiful Battlefields. Also speaking will be the Founder of Good Samaritan Ministries, Bettie Mitchell, as well as Tangye George Salt, who oversees the Samaritan work in Cameroon, a nation in northern Africa. You can see the formal invitation for this important event as well as instructions for reserving your seat here.
This year's banquet is especially important as the ministry, which began over 30 years ago in Mrs. Mitchell's home and has provided donation based counseling services as well as counselor training and a variety of other services to the Beaverton community free of charge, is facing financial challenges both locally and at its many centers throughout the world.
The Banquet, as always, promises to be a life changing event for all in attendance. You can learn more about Good Samaritan Ministries and their mission to live with love here.
