Good People Brewing Company (114 14th Street South, Birmingham) now has a new surprise for you on store shelves in Birmingham as they just released their Pale Ale in cans earlier this week.
Pale Ale is now the fourth canned offering from Good People, and it joins their IPA, Brown Ale, and Snake Handler Double IPA as a part of their line of beers available throughout the year dubbed Ales from the Heart of Dixie. Although it is the fourth to be packaged, Pale Ale is the brewery's flagship beer and considered their most accessible year-around brew. Here is the full brewery description of this offering:
This classic American Pale Ale is floral to the nose and flavorful to the mouth. 2-Row & 5 Specialty Malts create subtle caramel tones while just the slap right amount of Cascade hops make our Pale Ale just a shade short of perfect. Grab some and tell us what you think. Surely to be one of your favorites.
The canning of Pale Ale was made possible thanks to the brewery recently completing an expansion that will nearly triple their production capacity. The brewery does not plan to stop with Pale Ale though. Their wildly popular Coffee Oatmeal Stout will eventually be the fifth and final canned offering in the Ales from the Heart of Dixie line, and they also plan to start packaging their seasonal offerings in the near future.
Pale Ale is available in six packs of 12 oz. cans bearing the artwork displayed above. I can confirm that these are now on shelves at Piggly Wiggly in Homewood, Hop City Birmingham, Highland Package, and Whole Foods in Mountain Brook. Although that is all I can confirm personally, I imagine Pale Ale is available now or it will be very soon anywhere you usually find packaged Good People offerings in Birmingham with the rest of the state to follow. Make sure to pick up your sixer the next time you are out and about in the city as it will make the perfect beer for your Super Bowl party or just as an everyday kind of sipper. Prost!
