Good moon rising -- Creedence Clearwater Revival debuts as DLC on Rock Band next week

Rock Band guitar enthusiasts can now play a little travelin' band with the announcement today that several of Creedence Clearwater Revival's songs are coming to the Rock Band video game as downloadable content next week. The announcement was made by game makers Harmonix and MTV Games today.

Available July 6 in America on Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3 and July 7 in Europe for Playstation 3 only for Rock Band will be "Bad Moon Rising," "Born on the Bayou," "Down on the Corner," "Fortunate Son," "Green River," “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door”, “Proud Mary”, “Run Through the Jungle”, “Travelin’ Band”, “Up Around the Bend” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain.” All except "Run Through the Jungle" will also be available for "Lego Rock Band."

The guitar-heavy songs, radio favorites in the '60s and '70s, are naturals for the game. The tracks will be available separately for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii and in a package as  “Creedence Clearwater Revival Pack 01” for Xbox and Playstation 3 only.

Cost will be $1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per track or $19.99, £9.99 UK, €14.99 EU (1600 Microsoft Points) in combination as Creedence Clearwater Revival Pack 01 for Xbox 360 and $2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per track for the Wii. Pricing was not announced for Playstation 3.
