Good Friday Holiday: Lake Charles, Sulphur trash schedule

The City of Lake Charles will observe the Good Friday Holiday on Friday, April 18. There will be no trash or garbage collection on that day. Changes in trash and garbage pickup for the week of the Good Friday Holiday are as follows:

  • Trash and garbage normally picked up on Friday will be rescheduled for pickup on Saturday, April 19.
  • The Team Green recycling truck will not be available on Good Friday Holiday, Friday, April 18, but will resume collection on Saturday, April 19.
  • All recycling stations, including the Incinerator, will not be open on Good Friday, April 18. They will resume regular operations on Monday, April 21.
  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday routes will remain on their regular schedules.

All other services of the Department of Public Works and other City departments will be closed on Friday, April 18, in observance of this Holiday but will resume regular working hours on Monday, April 21.

In Sulphur, Mayor Chris Duncan has announced that all City offices will be closed Friday, April 18, 2014, in observance of Good Friday.
There will be no interruptions to the residential garbage/trash collection schedule.
