Gather your friends and head on over to the new Poinsett Bar & Grill where the bartender and the hard working wait staff will serve you efficiently and enthusiastically.  This classy little bar located at the corner of Poinsett Highway and Rutherford Road not far from the WYFF-TV station is catching on to be the new go-to hangout.

The place is rather comfortable where all of the booths are decorated with a roof made of wood and corrugated metal.  This complements the light wood stained bar with the same metal decor including some more corrugated metal at the bottom part of the bar - all around an exceptionally good look.

Every Friday catch live music with no cover charge and every Thursday you're invited to practice shower singing skills with karoake. Need to catch some live sports? Enjoy viewing the big game on any of the several high definition flat screens expertly scattered around or find yourself unable to look away from the high definition projection screen viewable from any seat.

The bar offers eight popular beers on tap along with some very snazzy drinks intriguing enough to actually try.  First up, the Poinsett Cooler. This drink contains Malibu coconut rum, Midori, and pineapple juice on the rocks.  How about a Watermelon Margarita?  That'll be perfect for those warmer months coming up. Next up, the Greenville Coloda, a pina colada with Midora! Try the Poinsett Honey Cooler consisting of Wild Turkey American Honey, Dekuyper Peachtree Schnapps, splash of cranberry juice, shaken and served as a shot.  Wild specialty drinks!

The menu covers all the basics with many appetizers like Fried Green Beans or Sweet Potato Fries for $4.95 or the Poinsett Sampler with chicken tenders, fried mushrooms and onion rings for $8.95. The Chicken Tender dinner size was phenomenal and something as simple as a dinner salad turned out to be sizeable and incredibly fresh for only $4.95. Tasty wings, a variety of specialty hamburgers and mouth-watering homestyle dinners round out the menu.

If that's not enough to pack a punch to your party, pop into the recently renovated game room and indulge in playing on your choice of two pool tables, a foosball table and several arcade machines.

Last week, a visit turned into a late night adventure when a large birthday gathering requested some dance music in between the karaoke and claimed the foyer as the new dance floor. The entire place was thumping and partying making for a very good time.

Next time you are heading towards Cherrydale, stop by Poinsett Bar & Grill at 110 Poinsett Highway right outside downtown Greenville where you'll unmistakably find good food and good times any day or evening of the week.
