Have you ever noticed that some geographical areas in Western New York have a special feeling about them? The kinds of places that you seek out for relaxation, because you can feel your blood pressure lowering as soon as you get there.
What is it about those places? Call it positive energy, or call it a good vibe... there are many places around the area that definitely resonate at a higher vibration.
Of course, Niagara Falls generates a lot of energy. All that water, all those negative ions that produce a positive feeling in us. A stroll along the edge of the falls can melt away your stress and leave you feeling both relaxed and energized at the same time. The energy is so powerful that it's almost tangible. It really is one of the wonders of the world.
Various points around Lake Erie have their own positive energy field, too. As much as Lake Erie has been through, with the steel plant and factories almost killing it in the 1960's, it is still a vibrant and resilient force of nature. Evangola State Park is one of the spots on the lake that has that quiet, calming energy. As soon as I pull into the parking lot, I can feel an energy shift. Sitting on the sand at the edge of the waves, the lake quiets and stills my mind. Seagulls, waves, blue sky, have a way of pulling my focus to the present moment and I can sense the vibrations of universal life force.
Certain parks around Western New York also have a good energy feeling about them. Sculpture Park in Ellicottville, Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park, and other smaller parks like Ellicott Creek in Tonawanda have a peaceful, happy resonance.
Western New York is rich in areas of positive energy. Go explore them and feel the vibe.
