Contemporary rock stars Goo Goo Dolls will be playing The Pearl at the Palms Casino and Resort on June 5th, 2010.
Goo Goo Dolls have been a contemporary musical icon for years, making their main stream breakthrough back in 1995 with the release of their fifth album, A Boy Named Goo. The band had recorded four other albums prior before actually receiving deserved attention with the release of the single "Name" off of their fifth album. Due to the huge success of this song, it convinced the band to go toward more music in the future with a similar sound, and steer away from their past grunge like sound. It was with the release of "Iris" from the City of Angels soundtrack that catapulted the band into mainstream success (and remains my theme song to this date!). They have released a total of four successful mainstream albums, housing such hits as "Sympathy", "Big Machine", "Here is Gone", "Slide", and "Black Balloon" and are currently working on a new one to be released later this year. You can learn all about their latest project and the band itself by visiting www.googoodolls.com
Tickets are selling now via The Pearl's Box Office or by visiting any Ticketmaster location. They are priced from $45 to $65. You can also take a shot at winning tickets by listening to Mix 94.1. Make certain you mark your calendars for this one, because you will not want to miss a night of great music that only the Goo Goo Dolls could bring to the stage!
