The Goo Goo Dolls - singer-guitarist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin - are touring in support of 10th studio album, Magnetic featuring the single “Rebel Beat,” which which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 in June.
The Buffalo-bred rockers have had a highly successful summer with a co-headlining tour with Matchbox Twenty and appearances on Good Morning America, LIVE with Kelly and Michael, The Rachael Ray Show and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
In 1986, Rzeznik and Takac held their first rehearsal in Buffalo. The four-time Grammy-nominated band became one of the biggest hit-makers of the 1990s thanks to hits like “Name,” “Iris” and “Slide.” The band's success can be attributed to 10 well-received albums - A Boy Named Goo, Dizzy Up The Girl, Gutterflower, Let Love In, Something For The Rest of Us, and their latest release Magnetic.
The Goos last played Western New York with Michelle Branch and Parachute at Darien Lake on July 29, 2010.
