As reported on Saturday, SSC Napoli, as visitors, defeated Chievo Verona 4-2. The match was dominated by Napoli, but goals were coming and going.
The match ended in a tie at the half, despite Napoli’s domination. However, the second half was won by Napoli as they added two more goals to Chievo’s none. The last goal being made by newly signed Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Slovakian player Marek Hamsik scored two goals for Napoli, while the other two were scored by Higuain and Spaniard Jose Maria Callejon.
Higuain’s goal was the nail in the coffin as Chievo Verona looked to tie the game at 3-3, but the goal was never achieved. In the end, Gonzalo’s goal put Napoli in front by two goals, taking away hopes from the local team.
The victory leaves SSC Napoli as undefeated with two wins so far. The Serie A season is still early, but Napoli seems to be looking dominant.
