Twentieth Century Fox tweeted a teaser photo Friday, Dec. 27 of David Fincher’s Gone Girl.

"Check out @BenAffleck as Nick Dunne, a suspect seeking the truth in his wife's disappearance in #GoneGirl," the caption read.

In the still, Affleck’s Dunne looks distraught standing behind a microphone addressing a crowd, while a “missing person” poster with his wife's face on it is displayed in the background.

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by author Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl tells the thrilling story of Amy (Rosamund Pike) and Nick’s (Affleck) tumultuous marriage and is primarily based on the disappearance of Amy during their fifth anniversary, making Nick the prime suspect.

With the screenplay adapted by Flynn, the film also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Casey Williams, Scott McNairy, Kim Dickens, and Emily Ratajkowski. Reese Witherspoon is producing the movie, along with Bruna Papandrea and Leslie Dixon.

Gone Girl has a release date of Oct. 3, 2014.
